Health Benefits

Medical, Dental and Vision

All full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the benefits programs following an eligibility period.

 

Starboard’s health plan benefits are designed to meet your needs and help you live a healthier life at affordable options. Starboard offers three great medical and dental plan options, including 100% coverage for preventative care.

 

The Vision Care Plan provides a full spectrum of health care for your eyes including periodic, comprehensive eye exams, lenses and frames or contacts.

 

Retirement

401(k) Savings Plan 

Starboard’s 401(k) plan helps you build your retirement funds. Employees are eligible to enroll in a pre-tax or ROTH option. After one year of service, Starboard will match up to 6% of your salary and the company’s contributions are immediately vested at 100%. In addition, Starboard may contribute up to 2% of your salary upon meeting certain profitability targets vested over a defined period.

 

Life and Disability Benefits

Life Insurance

Starboard employees are eligible for company paid life insurance of 2 times their base pay. Voluntary purchase of additional coverage and dependent life insurance policies are available.

 

Disability Benefits

Starboard provides employees with company paid short-term and long-term disability benefits following an eligibility period.

 

Flexible Spending Accounts

Starboard employees have the option to enroll in either or both the Healthcare or the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. Once enrolled, employees can use the account(s) to pay healthcare and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars. The plans are designed to save money, making healthcare and dependent care more affordable.

Tuition Reimbursement

The program is designed to encourage employees to develop their skills by taking educational courses related to their current or future career goals with the company. Qualified expenses are paid by Starboard up to an annual maximum.

 

Professional Development

Professional development courses are available through regularly scheduled training. Starboard provides opportunities to keep employee skills current and ensures employee growth and development is aligned with business goals.

 

Work-Life Balance

Vacation

Starboard recognizes that paid time off contributes toward the health and success of employees, enabling an enriched balanced lifestyle. Starboard employees accrue vacation hours each bi-weekly pay period based on years of service.

 

Company and Personal Holidays

Starboard employees are eligible for nine company-paid holidays and two paid personal days each year, based on their start date.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program provides free confidential access to certified, professional counselors for consultations and referrals on life changing events for Starboard employees and eligible family members.

Health Advocate

Starboard employees have access to Health Advocate, an independent healthcare advocacy and assistance company. The health advocate supports Starboard employees with the intricacies of the healthcare system and assists as employees seek healthcare services and interact with providers and insurers.
