“As a company we are committed to our community by reaching out to those in need. We have a team of volunteers who are dedicated to various causes, unified around a
common goal.”
Starboard Cruise Services is committed to supporting the communities we serve through sponsorships and contributions toward a variety of causes. Among the many organizations we support is the American Red Cross, which provides emergency assistance and disaster relief around the world.
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers that aims to prevent and relieve suffering by providing support to victims of disasters and military units. Starboard Cruise Services began its involvement with the American Red Cross through our Chairman, J.P. Miquel. He founded our relationship with the American Red Cross while serving as President of Starboard Cruise Services and Chairman of the local American Red Cross. This relationship and commitment has continued to grow and develop with our new management.
Over the years, Starboard employees have contributed to a number of causes for the American Red Cross, wherein all the funds collected are matched by Starboard. In 2010, Starboard Cruise Services collected more than $20,000 to provide assistance for Haiti as part of the earthquake relief movement.
Our contributions to the American Red Cross have assisted in the efforts to bring awareness and funds to an organization that helps people of all nations. We encourage all of our employees to dedicate talent, time and generosity to this remarkable organization that helps promote safety and prepare for disasters every day.
Being Environmentally Responsible
We uphold our practice of supporting each cruise line’s commitments to the ecosystem. We adhere to all defined environmental goals and policies and ensure that these commitments are inclusive in orientation and continued education programs. Increased awareness of ‘green’ topics raises levels of ecological standards, respect, responsiveness and our commitment to preserve one of nature's jewels, our marine environment.
